This project was completed in October 2023 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The owner is a retired man who loves to collect antiques. He hopes to incorporate his interests into his daily life. The design is based on the principles of capaciousness, comfort, and flatness to create a safe space. The use of black and white outlines the elegance and grandeur of the space and symbolizes the calligraphy paper and ink. The combination of wood and stone makes a perfect balance between warmth and coldness in the space, and the embellishment of metal material injects a touch of texture and calmness.
In the living room, the entire TV wall is made out of black and white marble, emphasizing the low key luxury of the home. To consider the Feng Shui principles, the designer places amethysts which means bringing positive energy and wisdom to the residents. On the wall of the open work area is the display cabinet. The top collection is an antique left by the homeowner's grandfather, which symb olizes the family heritage and it is the homeowner's favorite collection.
In the dining room, the designer replaces traditional cabinet doors with glass mirrors to build the cabinet, which makes the space more visually transparent. The round dining table and chandelier symbolize completeness and unity. The cooking oil fume decon tamination design is practiced in the kitchen; however, part of the kitchen is integrated with the dining room to make the space visually spacious. The corridor is the home gallery, and the magnetic track lighting system allows the light to focus on the ar t paintings, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere.
In the bedroom, special paint is used on the wall to create unique textures. Besides, the warmth of wood allows the space to retain a modern minimalist style with a primitive, pure look. The bathroom floor and wall are made of stone, which not only achieve s visual extensibility but also increases the convenience of cleaning with its smoothness and seamlessness. Through spatial design, it enriches the content of life and demonstrates the living style, making it a comfortable and pleasant retirement home with a unique sense of aesthetics.
此案位於新北市永和區，於2023年10月完工。即將退休的屋主是一位古董收藏家，希望能將興趣融入日常生活。設計上，以開闊、舒適、平坦為原則，打造安全空間。運用黑與白，勾勒出空間中的高雅與大氣，也象徵書法的紙與墨。結合木材與石材，讓空間感受在溫暖與冷冽間取得完美平衡，並藉由金屬材質的點綴，注入一絲質感與沉穩氣息。
客廳中，一整面電視牆以黑、白兩色大理石打造，定調家中的低調與奢華。更融入風水原理，擺放紫水晶，為居住者帶來正面能量與提升智慧。一旁的開放式工作區域牆面上，打造收藏品陳列櫃，其中擺放最上方的收藏品是屋主的爺爺留下的古董，象徵家族間的情感傳承，是屋主最喜愛的收藏品。工作檯石材的天然紋理、色澤，詮釋時間的流轉，襯托出收藏品的珍貴與價值。
餐廳櫥櫃以玻璃鏡面取代傳統櫃門，視覺通透性讓空間更顯開闊。圓形餐桌與吊燈，象徵圓滿、團圓之意。廚房採油煙分離，但一部分與餐廳結合，讓空間更為開放，增加空間內的視線開闊。走廊是家中畫廊，磁吸軌道照明系統讓燈光聚集在藝術畫作上，營造出令人陶醉的氛圍。
臥室牆面使用特殊漆，刻劃獨特紋理，搭配木質的溫潤特性，讓空間在原始、純淨的樣貌中保有現代極簡的風格。浴室地面與牆面皆使用石材，除了達到視覺延展性外，光滑、無縫的特點增加清潔便利性。透過空間設計，豐富生活內容，展現生活風格，成為一間舒適宜人，具有獨特美感的樂齡退休宅。
